Background with Flight/Train Sim Team:

I started doing writing on Microsoft games in 1998. I wrote the first Help system for Fighter Ace, lots of stuff for CFS I , CFS II, Train Simulator, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, and FSX. Writing led to some dabbling in game design. I helped design the FSX missions, I wrote or rewrote many of the audio scripts, and I designed most of the new multiplayer Tower Controller feature.

I'm an instrument-rated private pilot, but I haven't flown for real in years (though I stay instrument current on a Frasca simulator). I really gotta start flying again....

Pre FS/TS History/work:

My first Microsoft project was writing the manual for Money 98. Before that I was a freelance writer, a legal clerk, a floatplane base dock worker, a bike messenger, and a sea kayaking guide.

Favorite thing to do in FSX or TrainSim:

Realistic VFR or IFR flights from start-up to shut down. I also enjoy buying high-end add-on aircraft, buying real-world manuals, and using the latter to "test" the former. It's an illness, really.

Random fact about yourself:

I can move objects with my mind.
